The Ethnic Studies Program invites students to explore the historical, political, economic and cultural events that have shaped ethnic communities in the United States. Our Ethnic Studies Minor offers an interdisciplinary study of the major ethnic groups in the U.S. Our curriculum offers courses in African American, Asian American, Latino, and Native American Studies. In addition, our faculty pursue research in fields such as Latino and Latin American Studies, Middle Eastern studies, and Gender studies.
Students from all majors can benefit from an Ethnic Studies minor by studying diverse and dynamic expressions of race, culture, and ethnicity.
Our Program Coordinator is Dr. Elsa Valdez:firstname.lastname@example.org.
